As a cosmetic dentist, we can also make teeth appear white by placing dental veneers on top of them. A veneer is a thin shell that consists of porcelain or ceramic. We will customize the veneer to match the surrounding teeth. Thus, if a patient is only placing one or two veneers, then the patient may want to whiten the surrounding teeth first.
